SLOPE

Procedure (upward slope):

1. Ensure safety before turning into the slope.

2. Right turn – turn to the right side and the first rider will be position on the right.

3. After turning into the slope, for power to accelerate, select a lower gear.

4. Before stopping, close throttle to slowdown.

5. To stop, clutch in and engage the correct gear, then apply the brakes to prevent the engine from stalling.

Procedure (downward slope):

1. 1st bike position on the right

2. 2nd bike position on the left

3. Both riders need to check back rightwards.

4. Before turning, check the blind spot on the right again

Note: If a car is stopping at down slope, riders can position a behind the car. However, if the car is stopping at upslope, do not position behind the car as the car may roll backwards.

Procedure:

1. Engage the 1st gear and check the surrounding for safety. Look out for any vehicle behind before moving-off.

2. Before entering the Figure 8 course, change the gear to the 2nd gear and gradually release the clutch fully.

3. To drive through the curve safely, ride at the same speed throughout the curve.

4. Do not hold onto the clutch lever or clutch-in when driving through the curve.

5. Use your rear brake gently if you are travelling too fast.

6. Together with the motorcycle, lean towards the path you are travelling.

7. Before exiting the Figure 8 course, check the traffic on the right. Then check the blind spot on the left. Turn left if it is safe to do so.

8. Straighten the handle smoothly to an upright posture and open the throttle. Proceed with your route with care.

CRANK

Procedure:

1. Engage the 1st gear and check the surrounding for safety. Look out for any vehicle behind before moving-off.

2. After entering the crank course, change the gear to the 2nd gear and gradually release the clutch fully.

3. Do not hold onto the clutch lever or clutch-in when driving through the curve.

4. Use your rear brake gently if you are travelling too fast.

5. Together with the motorcycle, lean towards the path you are travelling.

6. Before exiting the Crank course, check the traffic on the right. Then check the blind spot on the left. Turn left if it is safe to do so.

7. Straighten the handle smoothly to an upright posture and open the throttle. Proceed with your route with care.

E-BRAKE

Procedure:

1. Engage 1st gear and check safety. Check back before moving-off.

2. Look straight ahead, grip fuel tank tightly with the knees and both hands holding the handlebar firmly.

3. Close the throttle to make use of the engine brake.

4.

a. Apply the front and rear brakes together with much more pressure than normal braking.

b. Just as the wheels are about to lock, release the pressure on the brakes and reapply them again.

c. As the motorcycle is about to stop, pull in the clutch fully to prevent the engine from stalling.

(Stop before the 2nd Yellow Line, TP – Unable to stop within the stipulated distance is an Immediate Failure)

PLANK

Procedure:

1. Engage 1st gear and check safety. Check back before moving-off.

2. Do not change to 2nd gear and you need to look far ahead (about 9 to 10 metres or half of the plank).

3. Use half clutch control to maintain constant speed. If you are riding too fast on the narrow plank, use your rear brake gently to slow down.

4. If you feel like you are about to drop off the plank, move the handlebar slightly to left or right about 2 to 3cm.

5. When you are at the middle of the plank, look at the end of the plank.

6. When exiting the plank, straighten the handlebar and proceed with care.

SLALOM

Procedure:

1. Engage 1st gear and check safety. Remember to check back before moving off.

2. Change to 2nd gear and release the clutch gradually and fully. Tilt handle slightly to the left to negotiate the first pylon.

3. Open throttle after completing the first pylon. Before negotiating the 2nd pylon, close the throttle again and tilt the handlebar slightly to the right.

4. Repeat these steps for all the other cones.

5. Before exiting the last cone, straighten handle to an upright posture.

6. Open throttle and exit the slalom course. Proceed with care.
